Fans of the multi-universe spanning Fringe will find out this week whether Fox has decided to order a final 13-episode season, according to showrunner Joel Wyman.

While categorically stating that there are “no plans for a movie,” Wyman said that they “should know something this week. Feeling good. All of your support and positive thoughts help.”

The show has been plagued with borderline ratings throughout its life on Fox and its renewal for both third and fourth season came as a shock to some seasoned commentators.

Update: April 17: As of 8 a.m. UK time (midnight PST), there still has not been any news. Joel Wyman promised to tweet as soon as he had any further information, but he didn’t post anything during working hours on April 16.
