Steven Moffat – who previously won the Hugo Award on four occasions for his scripts for Doctor Who – is in contention with two of his colleagues for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form in this year’s Hugo Awards.

Moffat’s script for A Good Man Goes to War goes up against Neil Gaiman’s The Doctor’s Wife and Tom MacRae’s The Girl Who Waited. Other nominations have gone to The Drink Tank’s Hugo Acceptance Speech by Christopher J Garcia and James Bacon, and the episode Remedial Chaos Theory from the US series Community.

Interestingly, Game of Thrones has been nominated for the Long Form Award for its entire first season, rather than for any specific episode. It is battling against Captain America, Hugo, Source Code and the final Harry Potter film.

The Hugos will be awarded at Chicon 7, in Chicago from August 30-September 3, 2012. The full list of nominees can be found here.
