Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Although mystery series Castle isn’t normally Sci-Fi Bulletin’s territory, a recent interview with executive producer and creator Andrew Marlowe suggests that things are straying in our direction.

Starring Firefly/Serenity’s Nathan Fillion as novelist Rick Castle, the show has featured many nods and winks to the genre audience, with Fillion’s Firefly co-star Adam Baldwin appearing towards the end of the current fourth season.

And, according to Marlowe’s discussion with EW, coming up shortly in the US (and in about four months over here, if Alibi stick to the current transmission pattern), “Our second to last episode, despite the fact that we’re dealing with Castle and Becket being in a rocky place and dealing with those issues, we wanted to have a little fun. We’re tackling zombies since they’re so much in the zeitgeist. Zombie killers.”

Presumably there’ll be a more down-to-earth explanation… but who can tell?
