Thanks to Eric Ford of On Location News, the first images from the new Star Trek movie have appeared, much earlier than anyone seriously expected.

According to MTV, the scenes are set on top of a “Space Barge”, and see Zachary Quinto’s Spock in a fight with Benedict Cumberbatch’s as yet unnamed villain (who appears to be wearing a Starfleet black uniform, similar to that worn by Jim Kirk in the first film), and Zoe Saldana’s Uhura holding him at phaser point.
