Only four episodes into transmission of the second season of their version of Being Human, Syfy has announced that it has ordered a third 13-episode season.
“With the success of season two, Being Human has become a premier destination for Syfy viewers,” Syfy’s President of Original Content Mark Stern announced. “[Showrunners] Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke have taken this series to new heights this year and we’re excited to see where the third season will go.”
Although the first season was based heavily on plotlines from the British TV original, the production team have emphasised that the second and subsequent years will diverge dramatically. Syfy is particularly pleased that the show has a 52% female audience, the highest proportion for any of its own content.
