The adventures of Marty McFly may not be over yet, with news that the time-travelling DeLorean may become the centrepiece of a new Broadway spectacular based on the 1985 Robert Zemeckis movie, Back to the Future.

According to Deadline, Zemeckis, co-writer Bob Gale and original composer Alan Silvestri are in early discussions about a stage transfer of the film, which spawned two sequels as well as two 13 episode seasons of an animated TV series, theme park ride and computer game.

For those who’ve never seen it, you can watch the start of the animated series below – which features a live-action appearance by Christopher Lloyd and Dan Castellaneta voicing Doc in the animated segments.
