After seeing a rewrite on the script , NBC has given the go-ahead for a pilot on J.J. Abrams’ team-up with Supernatural‘s Eric Kripke, Revolution.
Set in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist, Revolution is described as “a high-octane action drama following a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones”. Abrams, Kripke and Bryan Burk are executive producing the project.
Abrams is currently shooting the Star Trek sequel movie. A green light was also given this week to his other new TV project, the non-genre Shelter.
