Jessica Lange’s role in American Horror Story has brought her yet more honours, as the Screen Actors Guild awarded her the Outstanding Female Role in a Dramatic Series at the ceremony on January 29.
“Once I threw my lot in with this project, the ride was actually quite great,” she told Deadline back stage. “You couldn’t second guess or over think. That was a great way to work… I’m open to the possibility of anything happening in the moment. I find it exhilarating and surprising and enjoy kicking it to another level. But again, the only way a role like this can work is when it’s supported by powerful writing.”
The Stunt Ensemble Awards for film and television were the only other genre wins, with the Harry Potter finale and Game of Thrones winning within their respective media.
