According to a report at Bleeding Cool, Russell T Davies’ new children’s show, Aliens vs Wizards will be put together by the team that had been working on the fifth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures before it was brought to a premature end by the sad death of Elisabeth Sladen last April.

The site says that the show is the “small commitment” that Davies has referred to in past interviews, and is described as “Doctor Who meets Harry Potter.” Created by Davies and Phil Ford, it will consist of 12 two-part half-hour episodes, with scripts by Gareth Roberts and Joseph Lidster. It also claims that the BBC has ordered a second series before the first has been officially announced.
