Frances Conroy, recently seen in the first season of American Horror Story, has signed up for a leading role on NBC’s new pilot, Beautiful People.

Conroy will play Lydia, the mother of Primeval actor James Murray’s character, whose husband created the Mechanicals at the heart of the series. The Six Feet Under star played the older incarnation of the creepy housekeeper Moira O’Hara in FX’s over the top horror spectacular.
