James Murray, who played Stephen Hart during the first two seasons of Primeval, has been cast alongside Patrick Heusinger in NBC’s new drama pilot, Beautiful People.

According to the report at Deadline.com, Murray will play a handsome and very successful attorney who’s lived a rich and privileged life but makes a name for himself by publicly suggesting that androids, known as Mechanicals, might have civil rights. His cause is complicated by the fact that he’s the son of the woman whose husband created the beings in the first place.

Set in the “near future”, Beautiful People is written by Michael McDonald, with the pilot directed by Stephen Hopkins.
