While the final season of Chuck rolls out in the States, star Yvonne Strahovski has found her first major post-Sarah Walker role, playing a “beautiful and gifted scientist” in the adaptation of Kevin Grevioux’s graphic novel I, Frankenstein.

According to the report at Deadline, Strahovski has been cast opposite Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein in the modern retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic story. Bill Nighy is in discussions to  play a demon prince, determined to get the secret of reanimation from Frankenstein.

I, Frankenstein begins shooting in Australia in January for a spring 2013 release.
