Following Brian Grazer’s suggestion that a revised budget might make a Dark Tower movie feasible, he’s now been speaking to MTV, and strongly hinted that he and production partners Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman found a home for the television sections of the story.

“We’re going to do [The Dark Tower] with HBO,” Grazer told MTV. “We’ll do the TV with HBO, and we’ll do the movie with… to be determined. We’ll do it right.” He still anticipates that Javier Bardem will play the adult version of The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, in the adaptation of the seven book series from horror author Stephen King, although one of the TV series, like the recent comic books from Marvel, will focus on Roland in his youth.
