In the latest edition of Doctor Who Magazine, series head writer and executive producer Steven Moffat has criticised the decision by BBC Three to axe Doctor Who Confidential, the documentary series that has accompanied Doctor Who since its return to screens in 2005.
Writing in his Production Notes column, Moffat notes, “I’m not supposed to say it, but I’m going to anyway: bad day, bad decision.” Praising the way in which the series opened up possibilities for children watching, Moffat agreed that “all shows have their time, and all shows end, but not, in all sanity, while people still watch and love them.”
Elsewhere in the issue, details are given of the Save Confidential campaigns that are underway with series producer Zoe Rushton giving her reaction to the cancellation, and the campaigns.
