According to a report by Vulture at NYMag.com, Chuck co-creator Josh Schwartz is teaming up with Misfits’ Howard Overman to create an American version of the ASBO-with-superpowers hit series.

Vulture says that Schwartz’s Fake Empire has just finalised a deal for the rights and Schwartz and Overman are planning on writing a pilot script for the American version of Misfits on spec and then sell it, rather than wait for a network to come on board. The original E4 series is known in the States, after the first season was streamed on the Hulu site.
