Zombieland‘s Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are penning the adaptation of Hasbro’s toyline Micronauts for Paramount Pictures’ new movie, which will produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk’s Bad Robot.

According to the report at Deadline.com, Paramount recently made a deal for the toy line, which inspired well-remembered lines of comics from Marvel, Devil’s Due and Image. Since the success of Zombieland, Wenick and Rheese have scripted the G.I. Joe sequel as well as the X-Men spinoff Deadpool.

Hasbro recently described the Micronauts brand as a priority project, so work is expected to begin on the movie sooner rather than later.
