Syfy has ordered a further 13 episodes of its Stephen King-based series Haven, starring Emily Rose, to air next year – probably in the same summer slot.
The second series, which has just begun airing on Syfy UK, reached a slightly bigger audience than the opening season, around 2.55 million viewers.
Loosely based on King’s novella The Colorado Kid, the series follows FBI agent Audrey Parker as she tries to uncover the secrets of her own past in a small town whose inhabitants are afflicted with “the troubles” – various supernatural powers.
It is unclear yet whether this will form a 12 episode season and a Christmas special, or a straight run of 13 episodes.
