Star Trek and Judge Dredd star Karl Urban looks set to reprise his role of Vaako in David Twohy’s long-gestating new film in The Chronicles of Riddick saga, Dead Man Stalking.
According to a report at Bloodydisgusting.com, Urban will once again play the high-ranking warrior among the marauding Necromongers, although it’s unclear yet which side he’ll be on in the new film. Star Vin Diesel has been keeping interest in the project alive by releasing various pictures and snippets of information on his Facebook site, but this is one of the first firm pieces of news regarding the new film.
The official description of Dead Man Stalking states: “Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.”
