Hot on the heels of the announcement that ABC are working on a fresh version of the Beauty and the Beast fairytale comes news that the CW are looking to produce an update of the 1980s TV series which starred Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.
According to TV Line, Without a Trace’s Jennifer Levin and Brothers & Sisters‘ Sherri Cooper are going to write the script and serve as executive producers on the project, which will “not only modernize and CW-up the love story but also add a procedural twist.” The site reports that this was new CW president Mark Pedowitz’s first project under discussion when he arrived last spring.
No word yet whether either Hamilton, recently seen playing a spy on Chuck, or Sons of Anarchy star Perlman will be involved in any capacity – although Hamilton’s character Catherine was killed off in the final season (one many fans prefer to ignore).
Her character’s name was Catherine Chandler – not Christine
Corrected. Thanks!
No problem. Great article otherwise!
