Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s very dark comedy Psychoville has reached the end of the road, according to co-creator Shearsmith, despite Pemberton’s earlier comments that a third series was likely.

The writer and actor tweeted to say “There really will be no more Psychoville. But Steve P and I have ‘something else’ for you. Only in our minds at the moment.”

Psychoville began in 2009, with the first series followed by a Halloween special in 2010, and a second series earlier this year.
