According to a report at Deadline.com, the Pushing Daisies creator is working on a one hour drama that charts the relationship between psychiatrist Lecter and his patient, FBI criminal profiler Will Graham, which was alluded to in the Harris novels and formed the backstory to Red Dragon. The character was played by CSI star William Petersen in the first Harris adaptation, Manhunter, and by Edward Norton in the 2002 version.
Hannibal and a series based around waxworks creator Madame Tussaud will be the first productions of the new American arm of French film studio Gaumont.
