Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

The sequel to Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City is a step closer with the announcement that William Monahan, Oscar-winning adapter of The Departed, has been brought on board the production to supplement the draft script recently completed by Miller.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is in line with Rodriguez’s announcement at Comic-Con that he hoped to begin production on the movie as early as the end of 2011, now that he has financing in place, once a script was locked in place. Sin City 2 is expected to include actors whose characters survived the first film, such as Jessica Alba’s Nancy.
