Versatile American actor William Sadler has confirmed that he will be appearing in the fourth season of Fringe, which is currently filming in Vancouver.

Sadler played Dr Bruce Sumner, the director of St Clare’s psychiatric hospital where Walter Bishop was confined before the series began. “Off to Vancouver and the Fringe shoot. It’ll be fun to see Walter again,” Sadler tweeted, later adding,  “Fringe shoot was great fun. Always good to see John [Noble].”

As well as working on movies including The Shawshank Redemption and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Sadler has made memorable appearances on numerous genre series including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Roswell.
