As it continues to add more cast to its second season, Game of Thrones has come out a winner at the Television Critics Association Awards.

The HBO show was acclaimed as Outstanding New Programme at the TCA Awards held on Saturday August 6 at the Beverly Hilton, voted for by the North American television critics and journalists who form the Association.

Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis’s Sherlock also was singled out for praise for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials.
