The Matrix and CSI star Laurence Fishburne has been cast as Perry White in Zack Snyder’s reboot of the Superman franchise, Man of Steel, for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fishburne will be appearing alongside Law & Order: Special Victims Unit‘s Christopher Meloni in the movie, which is currently shooting for a June 2013 release. British actor Henry Cavill will play Clark Kent, with Amy Adams, Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner also cast.
