Beverly Hills 90210‘s Jason Priestley is one of many stars entering the sleepy town of Haven in the second season of the Stephen King-based Syfy show.
Priestley will play Chris Weekly, who the network describes as “a handsome but anti-social marine biologist who is forced to deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing: everyone suddenly loves him and will do anything he wants. Only Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) seems unaffected by Weekly’s ‘charms.'” He will appear in at least four episodes, beginning this coming Friday in the States, and directs the instalment airing on September 9.
He will be joined by WWE superstar Edge as former Army Ranger Dwight Hendrickson. Syfy notes that “Hendrickson was felled by a supernatural affliction in Afghanistan, [and now] puts his tactical skills to use in Haven as the mysterious ‘Cleaner.’ Working in the shadows, he does the dirty work when it comes to covering up supernatural events – manipulating evidence, making things and people disappear – but when the new police chief (Lucas Bryant) reaches out to him, Dwight’s role expands and brings him face to face with the forces that nearly killed him on the battlefield.” Edge will also join the cast this week, although most of his appearances will be in September.
