Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Occult western comic book The Sixth Gun is heading to Syfy as a six episode mini-series.

The adaptation of the Oni Press series was announced at Comic-Con, and according to iFanboy, has already “sped past the optioned and pilot stages”. Created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt, The Sixth Gun  has received multiple nominations in this year’s Harvey Awards.

According to Oni’s official description: “During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. The Sixth Gun – the most dangerous of the weapons – has vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Villains thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing anyone in their path. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunslinger with a shadowy past, stands in their way.”
