Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston has said that he wants to make a movie about Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett — and that he is in discussions with George Lucas about it.

Johnston has been involved with the character, first seen in The Empire Strikes Back, right from the start, finalizing the design of his iconic outfit. While promoting his Marvel movie, he told Screenrant that “I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett,” and that he “would like to” direct the film as “it would be a lot of fun.”

The director also revealed that the proposed fourth Jurassic Park movie would start “a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction — a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we’ve seen.” He had previously indicated that he didn’t think that the film should return to the island settings of the first three movies as “It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go.”
