Sky has confirmed that Steven Spielberg’s new TV series Terra Nova will be heading to Sky 1 HD later this year.
Terra Nova focuses on a family who travels back to prehistoric times in an attempt to save the human race from extinction. Like the recently-concluded Primeval, it brings humans into direct confrontations with dinosaurs, with the cast including Life on Mars US lead Jason O’Mara, Marchlands’ Shelley Conn and Avatar‘s Stephen Lang.
Sky 1 HD director Stuart Murphy said: “Terra Nova is a huge weekly epic adventure with a family at the centre of the action, a community full of tensions and rivalries and some pretty scary dinosaurs. It’s cinematic, powerful and a whole lot of fun that’ll be even more fantastic in HD.”
Check back for regular reviews of Terra Nova in the coming weeks.
