Apple TV+ has confirmed the cast for its new 10 episode series based on Terry Gilliam’s 1981 movie, Time Bandits.

The series will be co-written, directed and executive produced by Taika Waititi (“Our Flag Means Death,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Thor” films), and star an ensemble cast led by Lisa Kudrow.

With the first two episodes directed by Waititi, “Time Bandits” is a comedic journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an eleven-year-old history nerd. The series will star:

Rune Temte (“Eddie The Eagle,” “The Last Kingdom,” “Captain Marvel”) as ‘Bittelig’

Kiera Thompson (“Martyrs Lane,” “Salisbury Poisonings”) as ‘Saffron’

Rachel House (“Heartbreak High,” “Thor Ragnarok”) as ‘Fianna’

“Time Bandits” is produced for Apple TV+ by Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content’s AC Studios and MRC Television. The series is executive produced by Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris, and Garrett Basch along with Handmade Films.
