Blackbirds, the series based on Chuck Wendig’s Miriam Black stories, is no longer proceeding at Starz.

The author broke the news on his blog, TerribleMinds.com, on November 9th, noting that “I don’t really know why. Things were going quite well over at Starz! We had infrastructure. We had something just shy of a confirmed pickup. Scripts! Producers! Things! Stuff! And yet, it was not meant to be.” Starz has recently acquired Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, which may have had an effect on the future of the Wendig project.
