Spiteful Puppet have confirmed that the proposed new adventures of Richard Carpenter’s Robin of Sherwood are now going ahead:

It was in December of last year that we were excitedly able to reveal that after the success of “The Knights of the Apocalypse” and with so many people asking if there would be more, we had reached an agreement with ITV to produce further new and original full cast stories.

“As we’re a small company where resources were tight, we needed a certain level of pre-orders to be able to green-light the proposed box set of 4 hour long adventures that would see the surviving cast re-uniting as well as the return of Michael Praed to the role of Robin of Loxley.

Whilst we aimed for a target of 2000 orders, it became clear that there would always be those people who would choose not to pre-order, and so we adjusted the target so that if we could achieve a breakeven point, it would still be possible to move forward with this project.

It is now my duty to tell you that through your amazing generosity, both in committing to ordering and also to campaigning and spreading the word, we have achieved a position where we will be able to move forwards!!

We will keep the pre-ordering open in the hope that people may be persuaded to join the adventure.

Each and every order from this point onwards will allow us to do more in the studio and in post production. In addition, the bonus elements we spoke of, namely signed studio scripts and a studio visit will be re-main open until the end of March for those who do choose to pre-order.*

*No purchase necessary for the studio visit – to enter, send your name and address on a postcard to: 32 The Broadway, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 3HX. One person will be drawn at random and invited along to a studio session. The winner will be able to bring a plus one and must be able to make their own way to and from the studio on the designated day which will be confirmed at a later date. Signed studio scripts will be assigned to winners selected at random.
