Blade Runner star Rutger Hauer has joined the sixth season of HBO’s southern vampire series True Blood. According to TV Line, Hauer will be playing a character called Macklyn, described as ‘a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason’.
True Blood creator Alan Ball has left the series, and the new season is set to screen from June 2013.
