Emmy wins for Jessica Lange and Buffy’s Danny Strong

Genre shows weren’t well rewarded at the Emmys, held on September 23, but Jessica Lange received Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Mini-Series for her role as Constance Langdon in American Horror Story.

Former Buffy star Danny Strong – who played Jonathan for six of the show’s seven seasons – won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Dramatic Special for Game Change, the story of the 2008 Presidential campaign, which was also rewarded with Outstanding Miniseries, Direction, and Lead Actress (Julianne Moore’s Sarah Palin).
