According to an exclusive report at Deadline, GoldenEye and Casino Royale director Martin Campbell is reinvigorating another classic British brand, working on a reboot of Terry Nation’s Blake’s 7.
Heroes and CSI writer Joe Polaski is penning the reimagining, which Campbell will direct. Independent studio Georgeville Television, founded by Motion Picture Capital, will produce the show, after acquiring the rights from Andrew Sewell’s B7 Media.
No word yet on any changes to the format of the original series. The new version is currently being shopped to US networks.
I hope it’s true. It’s a great story that deserves a retelling.
