Primeval star Ruth Bradley – whose new movie Grabbers was shown at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last week – has been cast as the new companion for Paul McGann’s 8th Doctor for the Dark Eyes boxset, out later this year.
Set after the catastrophic events of To the Death, which saw the Doctor part company with Sheridan Smith’s Lucie Miller, Dark Eyes is described by writer, director and executive producer Nicholas Briggs as “a new epic story, a jumping on point!” Bradley plays Molly O’Sullivan, a Voluntary Aid Division nursing assistant saving lives during the First World War. Other guest stars in Dark Eyes include Peter Egan, Toby Jones and Ian Cullen.
